World War II Named U.S. Army Purple Heart Medal "Solomon Smilowitz", Slot Brooch, & Titled Leatherette case.  

U.S. Army Private 1st Class Solomon Smilowitz was born July 1st, 1918 in New York.  Smilowitz enlisted as a Private in the U.S. Army April 5th, 1943. PFC Smilowitz was wounded in action and awarded this Purple Heart around Jan. 7th 1945. Solomon lived a long life with his wife Rose Smilowitz until he passed away Nov. 8th, 2011. He is buried at Calverton National Cemetery in Suffolk Count, N.Y. I am including 7 Printed documents from the Ancestry National Archives.
