Picture
Bruce C. Cator was a Captain in the Army during World War II. Bruce was captured by Nazi Germany, and was sent to Dulag 127 near Zemun, Slavonia where 153 other American POWs were held. Bruce's capture was first reported to the International Committee of the Red Cross on August 10, 1944, and the last report was made on September 11, 1944. Based on these two reports, Bruce was imprisoned for at least 32 days, one of the shorter durations of captivity recorded, the average being 363 days. Ultimately, Bruce was returned to military control, liberated or repatriated.
